2018 Projects

The Turtle Project

We were very excited to partner with the Bruce Peninsula National Park in a celebration of turtles. BPSA artists donated their time to paint 18 turtle shells. Don’t worry, the shells are resin, not real! The shells were on display during the summer at the park Visitor Centre. In September the park auctioned off the shells in support of their On the Road to Recovery projects. Over 80 people attended the event and over $2000 was raised. Such colourful, fanciful and beautiful shells! Click on an image to see a full size picture.

2018 Art Workshops

Art should be accessible. Art should be something everyone can experience and it’s wonderful when it can be a shared experience. We are lucky on the Bruce Peninsula to have a large community of artists willing to share their talents.

From July 2-6, 2018 the BPSA ran 4 children’s workshops Monday-Thursday (each workshop was run twice). On the Friday we held an exhibit of workcreated through the week. Workshops were held at the Rotary Hall on Main St. In Lion’s Head.

See more on the workshops and registration on the Art Workshops  website.
