1. July BPSA Meeting:

   For our July meeting we are welcoming Heather Souliere for an urban sketching experience. Heather is an artist and urban sketcher who has worked in animation and film for over 20 years. She captures Vancouver’s urban and natural landscapes using pen, ink, and gouache.

   DATE: Wednesday, July 22

   TIME: 12:00 noon

   WHERE: Christ Church Hall, 55 Main Street, Lion’s Head

   We will meet first at the church hall. Bring a bagged lunch and we’ll eat while Heather talks with the group before we head out to sketch. 

    

   Lion’s Head Sketch Walk

   Join Heather for a 2-hour sketchwalk in beautiful Lion’s Head! Together you’ll explore the town, drawing the local area in your sketchbook. Whether you’re a new artist or a seasoned veteran, this hands-on experience will be a fun and insightful artistic experience with like-minded creative friends.

   Supplies for the sketch walk:

   • Your favorite drawing paper or watercolour paper
   • Pens, pencils, eraser, markers, whatever you like drawing with

   If you want to add in watercolours to your drawing:

   • Watercolour paints
   • Brushes
   • Water and water container

   Also recommended:

   • Water to stay hydrated
   • A fold up chair if you have one
   • Sunscreen
   • Hat
