Lin Souliere, CSPWC (Canadian Society of Painters and Watercolour), SCA (Society of Canadian Artists) has worked as a fine artist for over 40 years. Her art has been exhibited in numerous juried exhibits throughout Ontario and won a number of awards, including Grand Prize 2017 Paint Ontario, First Prize in the Bruce County Art Exhibit in 1999, First Prize in 2009 in the Bruce County Juried Exhibit, and the Daler-Rowney Award for Excellence in Watercolour in 2008 at the CSPWC juried exhibit ‘Open Water’. Her work has appeared in a number of children’s books, and is in Corporate collections such as The IMAX Corporation, Stratford General Hospital, The Rick Hansen Foundation, Bruce County Permanent Collection, CFPL TV, and several others. Before moving to the Bruce Peninsula in 1996, she owned and operated a gallery in Stratford, Ontario, called The Turquoise Dolphin. Lin also teaches art in workshops in Ontario, in France in 1999 and 2013, in Italy in 2014 and at her studio, Dragonfly Ridge, near Lion’s Head on the Bruce Peninsula. Watercolour is her primary medium, but she also works in oils, acrylics, pen & ink, and clay. Her watercolour Ancient Witness II was chosen by Northlight Publishing to appear in the book Splash 10: The Best of Watercolour, published in 2008. Her work is available at the Santa Fe Gallery, Owen Sound, the Bruce Peninsula Co-op Gallery and at her own gallery, Dragonfly Ridge.
